The Town room was Town's (House) first building were boys in that day house could meet. Since then this building has been the Bursary and the School Shop.

These Fives and Rackets Courts were built by William Butterfield in1861.

The Temple Speech Room was built under the patronage and guidance of Dr James, partly as a Memorial to Dr Temple. It was opened by King Edward VII on 3rd July 1909.

The present Chapel was built by William Butterfield who was appointed by Dr Temple. Butterfield completed the Chapel in 1872, the Tower in 1883 and the Cloister in New Quad in 1885.

The foundation stone of Rugby School's first Chapel was laid by Dr Wooll, Headmaster, in 1818. This was the first building at Rugby School designed by Henry Hakewill.
