Top Hats disappeared on Sundays in 1913. Replaced by white straw hats. The VI wore a black band, whilst everyone else wore house colours (horizontal). #SchoolHats @SchoolArchives1

Following on from our post about the desk tops with names carved into them when Hayman was Head Master (1870 to 1874) the boys were called upon not to graffiti their desks.
